It’s certainly nice to see some of our favorite local shops getting a little love from the CBS Baltimore. However, as connoisseurs and practitioners of terrible news writing, we can’t pass up the chance to make fun of it.
Though it’s not clear by what metric they were determining the best-ness of the bike shops profiled, we’re sure it’s not because they just chose a few random bike shops in Baltimore that they were able to find pictures of most easily. Two shops that didn’t meet this standard are Broadway Bicycles, near Fell’s point, and Race Pace Bicycles, on Key Highway. Sorry guys!
Anyway, here are the finer points of the write-up.

Speaking of dusting off spokes, I need a new spoke duster. Anyone know where I can pick one up? Maybe Joe at Joe’s bikes can help me. Unless he’s too busy teaching kids how to…what? What kind of fucked up kid needs to be taught how to love riding a bike?
Each summer, Joe runs a mountain biking camp for kids ages 12 to 16 in an effort to teach kids to love riding their bikes.
