After you’re done shaking off your Bikemore/Baltimore Heritage hangover, how could you resist a 9:30am bike ride?
Take it away, Facebook:
On Saturday, August 25, ride along on a two-hour Urban Renewal Bike Tour around Central Baltimore. This is a leisurely, safe, and beginner-friendly ride for the whole family!
Ride along for a tour of best brutalist buildings, modern apartment towers, and more as we explore the history of post-WWII urban renewal efforts from Mount Vernon Place to State Center. Of course, even in the 1960s preservationists fought to preserve historic buildings, so we’ll also get to take a look at once-threatened landmarks from the Garrett-Jacobs Mansion to the Shot Tower. Bring the whole family; helmets encouraged but not required.
Meet on Saturday, 9:30am at Mount Vernon Place in the west park between Charles and Cathedral Streets. Make sure to bring $10 bucks, and don’t forget to RSVP here.
