This past Saturday, Baltimore Heritage and Bikemore held a tour of areas influenced by Urban Renewal around downtown Baltimore. 30 bicyclists and preservationists rode from Mt. Vernon to the Shot Tower, Charles Center, State Center, and Bolton Hill, learning the social and architectural impacts of massive efforts to transform the City through demolition and new construction from the 1950s through the 1970s.
