Photos: St. Paul St. Bike Lane

For the past few weeks, I’ve been wondering if the DOT was going to finish striping St. Paul St. Prior to this week, the project has looked more like an extra-wide parking lane and less like a bike lane. This week, however, the DOT got around to putting the finishing touches on the lane.

I had seen these markings over the last couple weeks and wondered if they were bike lanes. Unless something has changed, I’m not sure if this is a good thing. When I passed through, riding in the marked lanes looked like an invitation to get hit by a parked car’s door while going downhill.
