It always pains me to report bad news on this site. We have a small community and many of these incidents hit way too close to home. We’ve talked in the past about Jack Yates and Nathan Krasnopoler, killed by motorists, and Tommy Barse, who was pinned under a car. It never gets any easier.
Unfortunately, dear friend of Baltimore Velo, Bob Wagner, was struck on Saturday night. Bob is no novice. He is the leader of the Rando Ramble and rides 5,000-10,000 miles per year. Bob was struck from behind on Keswick Ave, just south of 33rd. He was wearing a high-vis vest and plenty of lights on his bicycle.
The motorist fled the scene. Eyewitnesses noted the license plate and reported it to police.
Please let us know in the comments if you have any further information on the incident. Bob is in our hearts and thoughts and we wish him a speedy recovery.
